CIM300Expert™ Simple 300mm Software Solution
In addition to the CIM300 product, CIM300Expert provides software and services to integrate with the related automation hardware. Not only does this free up our customer's resources, but it enables our customers to benefit from the talent and experience of the Cimetrix development team. Ultimately, the 300mm standards give the factory full control of the equipment including the ability to setup, control, and monitor its basic functionality. If a machine is already fully automated, then implementing the 300mm standards is easier. Otherwise, the 300mm standards may require changes in the machine's basic processing architecture. Implementing these standards generally includes adding a Load Port (or Equipment Front End Module, EFEM) with the associated E84 interface to the Automated Material Handling System (AMHS), a robot wafer handler, light tower, and substrate pre-aligning system. Changes are also required in the machine's User Interface(UI) and/or Graphical User Interface (GUI).
CIM300 and CIMConnect provide the least intrusive software possible for implementing the SECS, GEM, and 300mm software. Nevertheless, the equipment manufacturer must provide or create the software & hardware hooks to manage recipes, control the machine's execution (start, stop, abort, pause), track substrates (wafers), alarm I/O, interface to the EFEM and related devices, send process information, and other details. At times the machine's software will call API functions to implemented required functionality and provide important information to the factory host. At other times the machine must respond to callbacks where the factory host's requests behavior.
CIM300Expert offers a simplified interface to CIM300 and CIMConnect where Cimetrix provides software that integrates directly to the EFEM and related devices. This allows Cimetrix to take full responsibility for the EFEM Controller, local mode GUI, and host connection. In addition, CIM300Expert provides an EFEM abstraction layer so you are never locked into one EFEM model or supplier.
