At the forefront of emerging SEMI standards development, we are the most trusted source for efficient implementation of the SECS/GEM, GEM300, and Equipment Data Acquisition (EDA), also known as Interface A, standards. Our products are used by over 60 equipment suppliers on virtually every tool type in nearly every 300mm factory worldwide. We are looking for a sharp customer support engineer to join our Quality Support Team in Salt Lake City, UT. The perfect candidate must have at least 1 year software programming experience with Microsoft Visual C++ and Microsoft Visual C#, a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field, excellent troubleshooting skills and great technical writing and verbal communications skills. This position provides a tremendous opportunity for growth as well.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide the first line of customer support to customers for the entire software product line, including email and occasional phone support.
- Work with customers and the development team to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Perform customer training for the entire product line, either at the customer site or in Salt Lake City.
- Enhance the product documentation.Perform activities such as collaborative coding, unit testing, and compliance with coding standards to enhance quality of produced software.
- Write sample code for customers in the their target development environment.
Qualifications
- 1+ year software programming experience with Microsoft Visual C++.
- 1+ year software programming experience with Microsoft .NET
- Bachelors in Engineering, Computer Science or related field
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities
- Excellent customer communication skills
- Software programming experience in C++ and Microsoft .NET, C# or VB.NET
- Desire and ability to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
- Fast learner. Willing and able to quickly get up to speed with new technologies and skills.
- Excellent technical writing and verbal communications skills
