Cimetrix Appoints Paul A. Johnson VP of Software Engineering
New position furthers Company’s commitment to producing quality software products
SALT LAKE CITY, UT – August 5, 2010 – Cimetrix Incorporated (OTC BB: CMXX, www.cimetrix.com), a leading provider of factory automation and equipment control software solutions for the global semiconductor, photovoltaic, and electronics industries, announced today the addition of Paul A. Johnson to the Company’s executive team as vice president of software engineering.
Mr. Johnson has 25 years experience in software development in a variety of industries, including finance, telecommunications, and semiconductor. His background working in .NET/C#, agile development methodologies as well as object-oriented design and implementation will be extremely valuable in improving and developing software solutions with Cimetrix. Throughout his career, Johnson has led many software product engineering organizations serving in roles such as primary developer, team lead, principal architect, and executive manager. He specializes in mature software development technologies and processes as well as incorporating new techniques where they prove successful.
For the past 3 months, Mr. Johnson has worked with Cimetrix providing consulting services primarily to both the Company’s Professional Services and Research and Development teams. Mr. Johnson brings to Cimetrix his expertise in analyzing organizations’ business needs and compiling a set of best practices for improving in-house software development productivity. In his new role, Johnson will head Cimetrix’s software engineering department, directing the development and maintenance of current and future products.

Mr. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the United States Military Academy, a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, and a Master of Science in Molecular and Cell Biology from University of Texas, Dallas.
