Cimetrix is pleased to announce the recent receipt of the Semiconductor International Editors' Choice Best Product Award for CIMConnect/CIM300. This award is presented annually by Semiconductor International magazine. To receive the award, a product must be nominated by a user of the product.
CIMConnect is the basis for all communications internal and external to electronics equipment. In addition to expected SECS/GEM functionality, CIMConnect provides the unique ability to communicate with multiple host applications. The more advanced CIMConnect Pro allows equipment manufacturers to add non-SECS-based message formats, such as XML, and transport protocols, such as HTTP and GPIB. These features will become vital as the electronics industry moves toward the collection of equipment diagnostic data as well as production data.
The CIM300 modules, CIMFoundation, CIM87, CIM90, CIM40, CIM58, CIM94, and CIM116, build upon CIMConnect provide support for the standards required by IC manufacturers processing 300 mm wafers. These standards are Object Services (E39), Carrier Management (E87), Substrate Tracking (E90), Process Job (E40), ARAMS (58), Control Job (E94), and Equipment Performance Tracking (E116). Cimetrix has over 40 customers using CIM300 with tools accepted in every 300mm fab.
